Conversion tracking and CRO in Cyprus

Conversion tracking in Cyprus that tells the truth

GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Conversions API, consent mode and offline imports, set up and tested before a euro is spent. Then landing page fixes so more of the traffic you already pay for converts.

Why it matters

Why tracking comes before spend

Every ad platform optimises toward whatever you tell it a conversion is. If that signal is wrong, the platform gets better at buying the wrong thing. Fix the signal first and every campaign built on it improves without touching a bid.

Most accounts we audit in Cyprus have at least one serious tracking fault. Page views counted as leads. Purchases fired twice. Phone calls, the biggest source of enquiries for many local businesses, not counted at all. Consent banners that block tags for every visitor, or for none. The reports look fine and the decisions made on them are wrong.

This service fixes that. It is available on its own, for businesses that manage ads in-house or with another agency, and it is included in every management retainer we run, because we will not spend a client budget on numbers we do not trust.

What we run

What conversion tracking and CRO includes

From the tag to the CRM to the page. Each piece is set up, tested and documented.

  1. 01

    Tracking audit

We test every conversion action across Google Ads, Meta and GA4 against real submissions and purchases. You get a ranked list of what fires wrong, what is missing and what is double counted.

  2. 02

GA4 and Google Tag Manager setup

A clean GTM container with a data layer, named events for every enquiry and sale, and GA4 conversions that match what Google Ads and Meta receive. Documented so your developer can maintain it.

  3. 03

Meta Conversions API and server-side tagging

Events sent from the server alongside the pixel, deduplicated, with match quality checked. Server-side Tag Manager where browser blocking or iOS limits are costing you data.

  4. 04

Consent mode v2 for EU visitors

A consent banner that meets GDPR requirements without silently switching off measurement. Consent mode configured so Google can model what it is not allowed to see.

  5. 05

    Offline conversion imports

Call tracking, CRM stages and closed deals fed back into Google Ads and Meta, so bidding learns from real revenue and qualified leads instead of every form fill.

  6. 06

    Landing page optimisation

Speed, message match, form length, trust signals and mobile layout, changed one variable at a time and measured. The aim is more conversions from the traffic you already pay for.

Included

What you can expect from the work

Six standards we hold every tracking and CRO project to.

Tested against real actions

We submit test forms, place test orders and make test calls, then confirm each one appears once in every platform. Screenshots included.

One data layer, every platform

Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and GA4 read from the same events. The numbers agree, or we can explain exactly why they differ.

Privacy compliant by design

Consent mode v2, IP anonymisation where required and a banner that respects choices. Compliance and measurement are set up together.

Calls counted as leads

Dynamic number insertion or Google call reporting so phone enquiries, the main channel for many Cyprus businesses, show up in the account.

Documented handover

A tracking plan listing every event, its trigger and where it is sent. Your developer or your next agency can pick it up without guesswork.

Measured page changes

Each landing page change is logged with the conversion rate before and after. You see what helped, what did not, and what we test next.

How we work

How a tracking and CRO project runs

  1. 01

    Audit

Access to Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and the website. We map every conversion action, fire test events and record what each platform sees. Usually a week.

  2. 02

    Tracking plan

A short document listing the events that matter for your business, in priority order, with how each will be captured. Agreed with you before any tags are touched.

  3. 03

    Build

GTM container, GA4 events, Conversions API, consent mode and any call tracking or CRM connection. Built in a staging container where possible.

  4. 04

    Verify

Every event tested end to end, deduplication checked, and numbers compared across platforms for a full week before the old setup is retired.

  5. 05

    Optimise the page

With clean data in place, landing pages get fixed in order of impact: speed, headline and offer match, form friction, mobile layout.

  6. 06

    Monitor

Tags break when websites change. On a retainer we check every tracking action weekly. On a standalone project you get a checklist to do the same.

What a conversion tracking audit covers

The audit starts with what the business actually counts as a result: a booked call, a quote request, a purchase above a certain value, a reservation. Then we trace each one from the button on the page to the number in the report, across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and GA4.

Common findings in Cyprus accounts: thank-you pages counted as conversions while the form also fires an event, so every lead counts twice. Enhanced conversions and Conversions API switched on but not matching. Consent banners installed by a web agency that block all tags until a click, so a large share of visitors are never measured. Each finding comes with the fix and its priority.

Server-side tracking and Meta Conversions API

Browser-based pixels lose data to ad blockers, Safari's tracking limits and iOS privacy settings. The Conversions API sends the same events from your server, so Meta sees purchases and leads the pixel missed. The two are deduplicated so nothing is counted twice.

For Google, server-side Tag Manager does the same job and improves page speed by moving tag processing off the browser. It is worth the setup cost for ecommerce and for any business spending enough that a few percent of lost conversions changes bidding decisions.

Consent mode v2 without losing your data

EU rules require consent before analytics and advertising cookies are set, and Google requires consent mode v2 for advertisers in the EEA who want to keep audience and conversion features. Many Cyprus sites either ignore this or implement it in a way that blocks everything.

We configure the banner and consent mode together. Visitors who decline are respected, Google models the gap from consented data, and the account keeps enough signal to bid on. Done well, the drop in reported conversions is small and the compliance risk is handled.

Landing page fixes that lift conversion rate

Tracking tells you where visitors drop out. CRO fixes it. The usual culprits on Cyprus business sites: slow mobile pages, a headline that does not match the ad, forms asking for ten fields when three would do, no phone number above the fold, and no proof anywhere near the button.

We change one thing at a time and measure it, starting with the fix most likely to move the number. Doubling conversion rate halves cost per lead with no change to the campaigns, which is why this work is bundled into every management retainer and offered on its own for teams running their own ads.

FAQ

Conversion Tracking & CRO: questions we hear most

If your question is not here, ask. We keep replies short.

Yes. Without it, every bidding strategy optimises toward clicks or guesses, and you cannot tell which campaign made money. We will not launch a campaign for a client until tracking is verified.
